TOP JOURNALS ACCEPTING E-SUBMISSIONS (NO READING FEES)
Louie Crew's http://andromeda.rutgers.edu/~lcrew/pbonline.html & Perpetual Folly's Pushcart rankings (http://perpetualfolly.blogspot.com/2012/01/pushcart-prize-ranking-poetry-for-2012.html) inspired my Pushcart & Best of Net rankings (http://sundresspublications.com/bestof/) of the best lit journals with FREE E-SUBMISSIONS. I eliminate defunct journals & ones with fees. Scroll down for listings for POETRY, FICTION, & NON-FICTION (& an extra section for FLASH FICTION). After Pushcart rankings, I include Best of the Net (eliminating the defunct, fees, or requiring snail mail, lists updated when I can). The lists are meant to help writers who don't have $ for fees/SASEs (e.g. Narrative Magazine charges $22 to submit & Antrim House wants authors to spend $3000 for a 36-page chapbook or $5000 for a 90-page book, so I try to help writers avoid those sorts of fees). I eliminate journals if they didn't have open submissions or couldn't find guidelines. For more places to submit, consider Louie & Perpetual Folly's lists & my Best American rankings. Support publishers that support writers!
